Friday 27th August AM; Alfie was ready and raring to go this morning and did his special sit up trick for me. We headed off down the road into Ashridge and went over the golf course and onto the bridleways. We met a nice couple and their 3 lurchers. Alfie was pretty good and stood watching the dogs with only a little muzzle twitch as a warning. We then passed by golfers taking their shots on the green and tried not to put them off! Alfie did lots of scent marking and paused every so often around the bases of trees sniffing. Soon it was time to head back to granny and we bumped into Alfie's grandad in the hall so travelled by lift to the flat. I wiped Alfie's paws then said goodbye til later.

PM; I got to Alfie later than 4pm due to traffic, however I called Alfie's granny to let her know. So when I arrived Alfie was at the door looking forward to his walk. He nuzzled my arm and rolled over, enjoying a head and tummy rub before we left. Alfie and I went along Sunnyside road and looped around Meadway after pausing for a sniff around at the fields. We crossed a huge watery puddle and then headed back home for a rub down and well earned rest. I said goodbye to Alfie, granny and granddad and hope to see Alfie again soon.

Thursday 26th August AM; Alfie and I said goodbye to granny and grandad then headed off for our morning walk. Alfie and I headed for the gold course. Alfie did a poop right by the bin, what a good boy! Then we continued on. The weather was pretty dreary however, this meant Alfie and I had ideal walking spots to choose from as there were hardly any golfers! Alfie scented and tracked his way along, pausing every so often to check out the latest news going on in the dog world through his long sniffs. Back home, I towelled Alfie down and then said goodbye until later.

PM; Alfie and I headed to Little Heath woods this afternoon.  We were going at a good pace and soon Aflie's tongue was hanging out the side of his mouth as he trotted along looking very happy.  We headed into the woodland down the winding path and said hello to an elderly chap who passed us by.  Alfie stopped to survey the wildlife, however, there were no pheasants or deer for Alfie to look at today.  By the time we got back to the house, Aflie's paws and belly were a blacky/brown colour from the mud!  So, we chatted to Alfie's granny as I wiped underneath and Alfie laid on his back for a little tummy rub.  I left Alfie in the good hands of granny and left him to a well earned rest.
