Friday 20th August AM; Basil met me at the door and meowed and stretched.  Midge was sat on the chair by the patio doors and Bramble was in the garden.  I washed up and chatted to the cats - Basil enjoyed a groom from Midge.  They tucked into their breakfast and I took the rubbish out and let Bramble in.  I cleaned up some sick that was near the back door, then opened up the blinds in the lounge and kitchen.  I left a note and will sort out dropping the keys back to you.

Thursday 19th August AM; I came in and called out for the cats but spotted Midge and Bramble enjoying themselves in the garden. They were having a good sniff around and a lay down in the grass. I rattled the bowls and biscuits but they didn't come in so carried on preparing their breakfast of wet food and biscuits. I didn't see Basil this morning so hopefully I'll see him later on.

PM; Basil made an appearance this afternoon and met me by the front door, weaving around my legs and meowing. He looked hungry so I made up all the bowls with their dinner and he tucked straight in. After a while Midge turned up and started tucking into her dinner too. I gave them both a stroke and then popped the blinds down and left them looking happy.

Wednesday 18th August AM; Basil and Midge were on the stairs, Bramble was in her bed.  I gave them all lots of strokes and then washed up. They tucked in hard and fast to their food as I opened up the blinds.  I stroked the little ones as they ate and they enjoyed the attention.  They were should be a little drier today, so hopefully the cats can enjoy a potter around outside.

PM; Midge was back on the stairs dozing, Bramble was on the decking. I said hello and then washed up their dishes and prepared dinner. While the girls munched I watered the plants and popped the milk in the fridge. Basil was at the front so I encouraged him inside and he tucked in his dinner.  Louise will be caring for them in the morning.

Tuesday 17th August AM; Basil and Midge said good morning to me in the hall and Bramble pottered along.  I opened up the curtains and blinds then washed up their dishes.  This morning the cats enjoyed a combination of lamb and whitefish or 'surf and turf'!  They all tucked in heartily.  The weather is grim again today and started to rain, so the plants are well watered at the moment.

PM; Basil came out to greet me as usual, however, the girls didn't show until the bowls were washed up and their food and medicine was on the floor.  The weather chucked it down outside and we even had some thunder.  The cats were non plussed and munched happily away.

Monday 16th August AM; Basil met me in the hall as usual and did a long stretch and yawn, the girls pottered off the sofa and watched me open up the blinds and then wash up their bowls.  This morning they enjoyed some lamb for breakfast with science diet and fresh water.  I had another go at the stain on the carpet from Midge, and then said goodbye to the cats as they chomped away.

PM; Midge was fast asleep on the chair when I arrived and I thought she had passed out she was in such a deep sleep and didn't hear me say hello. I gently stroked to check she was ok and she purred. I gave Midge and Basil a groom this evening, which the cats enjoyed. Bramble sat outside and waited for me to open the back door to let her in and I brought in the green bin. The cats enjoyed their dinner and I did my evening duties as they all munches happily.

Sunday 15th August AM; Midge, Basil and Bramble were in the lounge, Bail came out to say hello.  Midge had thrown up on the carpet, so I opened up the blinds then set about cleaning up the carpet.  I used the carpet spray under the sink and gave it a good soaking and hope it will all come out when it's dry as I managed to work in the spray to get the worst off.  Then I washed up the bowls and gave the cats fresh water.  Midge and Basil came into the kitchen and nose dived into their food as soon as I popped in onto the floor.  Bramble decided to have a Sunday lie-in.

PM; I got to the house and gave the carpet another wipe over following the sickness from Midge this morning.  Then Midge and Basil kept me company in the kitchen while I washed up their bowls and prepared their dinner with medicine.  They tucked into their dinner while Bramble decided to enjoy the last of the fading light.

Saturday 14th August AM; I got to the house and gave myself a mini heart attack as the alarm was off and door unlocked.  I thought for a second I had not secured the house, then remembered Hattie was staying the night so was home.  I didn't want to wake her as it was early, so instead I chatted to the cats and they pottered around after me as I opened up the blinds and washed up their bowls.  All three nose dived again into their food - the wet weather must be making them feel like some extra food!

PM; The house was locked although the alarm wasn't on.  Basil stretched in the hall enjoyed a head rub from me and Midge was washing herself while sat on the armchair in the lounge.  I popped down the blinds after saying hello to Midge and giving her head strokes, then all three cats followed me into the kitchen and groomed one another as I washed up their bowls and sorted out the food and medicine plus water.  As the cats ate I adjusted the blind in the kitchen and gave them all a stroke before saying goodnight.

Friday 13th August AM; This morning Basil met me in the hallway and did a long stretch.  I said goodbye morning to Bramble dozing on the sofa and Midge enjoyed a head rub.  The cats look like they've been having a rave in the front room as bits of leaves etc are on the floor, having dropped from their fur.  They then decided they were hungry and pottered with me into the kitchen watching me wash up their bowls.  This morning they enjoyed a double whammy of rabbit with their dried renal food and water.  I opened up the blinds and checked on the blocks of wood by the cat flap and the heavens opened outside, giving the plants a big soaking.

PM; I said hello to the cats as they greeted me in the hallway and I prepared their tea.  Midge and Basil circled around me while Bramble watched on.  As soon as their food hit the floor, all three cats tucked into their tea.  I adjusted the blinds in the kitchen and lounge, gave the cats a stroke then said goodbye.

Thursday 12th August PM; Lindsay helped with the little ones tonight and the cats all said hello when she arrived.  Lindsay washed up their bowls and gave them their dinner with medicine and fresh water, before sorting out the blinds in the kitchen and lounge.  Basil, Midge and Bramble let Lindsay stroke them and they tucked in happily to their food.

Monday 9th August AM; I saw the black bin out and realised the back gate must be open so this morning I gave the garden a good water (and nearly watered Midge as she sunbathed by the shed)!  Basil and Bramble then met me in the hall and Midge came indoors and they sat there waiting for me to wash up their bowls.  This morning they enjoyed whitefish and lamb and got tucked straight into their food as soon as I popped it onto the floor.  I opened up the blinds and left the cats enjoying their breakfast.

Sunday 8th August AM; The cats greeted me as usual and I noticed one of them had thrown up on the floor near the lounge and then on the carpet.  So they watched me as I cleaned this up and then opened up the blinds.  I chatted away to them and they followed me into the kitchen and Midge groomed Basil and Bramble as they wait patiently for me to finish the washing up and preparing of their breakfast.  All three cats nose dived into their food and chomped away happily.

PM; Basil was at the front door when I arrived which concerned me as to how he managed to get that way as I left him munching.  He weaved around my legs and I checked the other two were outside.  I couldn't find the back door key and realised it was no where on the side.  I send a text to Judith's mobile and washed up the bowls and prepared the cats food and Metacam then adjusted the blinds.  I will give the mobile a buzz tomorrow if I haven't heard back as I will need to water the plants this week.

Saturday 7th August PM; All three cats greeted me and said hello.  Basil and Midge both purred as I stroked them, and Bramble followed me around as I pulled the blinds down.  They enjoyed a feast tonight and all tucked in as soon as I had popped the bowls onto the floor.  I gave the cats lots of strokes then said goodbye.
