Wednesday 5th Sept; Basil was sat asleep on the chair in the study when I arrived as I walked in Basil met me in the kitchen and we had a lovely cuddle. I then went about preparing his breakfast, washing up his bowls and then filling his food up. I noticed Basil was sick in the kitchen and in the hallway - I don't believe there is anything to worry about as it looked like he had been munching on some grass. I cleaned this up and gave him some more strokes and cuddles before leaving.
Tuesday 4th Sept; Basil met me in the kitchen and I picked him up and we had a long cuddle. He rubbed his head again mine, and then my shoulder. As I tickled his head he started dribbling, which I took as a sign that he was having a nice time! I popped him down then went about washing up his bowls and refreshing his food, Basil followed my every move which was sweet, and then rubbed his body against the table in anticipation of his breakfast. As soon as I put the bowl down Basil dived straight in! I left Basil munching away.
Monday 3rd Sept; Basil must have heard me as I walked into the kitchen and seconds later he was there. I walked up to me and I scooped him up into my arms and we had our usual cuddles. He purred away and tried to rub his face into my arm. He had not eaten much of his food from the day before, so I topped up his bowl and washed up his water dish and refreshed this. I left Basil sniffing around his food, debating whether to eat it or not!
Sunday 2nd Sept; Basil was in the office when I arrived, looking out of the window and he meowed when he saw me. By the time I walked into the kitchen he was also there and we had lots of strokes and cuddles. Basil rubbed his face and body against the table and chairs, knowing it was breakfast time! He dived into his bowl when I popped it down and then I gave him lots of strokes before leaving him in peace.
Saturday 1st Sept; Basil wandered into the kitchen for a cuddle and I picked him up to do this - as I held him, his paws kneeded into my arm to show he was happy. I then popped him down and washed up his bowls and refreshed his food, which he then went over to and munched away. I sat with Basil for a bit, stroking him as he ate. Then I said goodbye and headed off.
Friday 31st Aug; Basil was no where to be seen when I arrived and I called for him in the house and around the garden. But still no Basil so I went into the kitchen and washed up his bowls and then filled up his water (having got rid of a floating wood lice that had drown in the bowl!) and then refilled Basil's dry food. I'm hoping to catch up with Basil this weekend so I can give him his cuddles!
