Saturday 3rd Nov; Bounty didn't have much breakfast this morning or Howard, I'm not sure whether he knew you were coming back or not (I told him mummy and daddy would be picking him up). He helped me around the house as I pottered around and then he played with Howard's Mickey Mouse in the kitchen. After Bounty was picked up at lunchtime, silly fool that I am - I burst into tears. I'd grown attached to Bounty having spent the last 2 weeks with us and Howard paced around the downstairs seemingly looking for Bounty. I realised after you left I forgot to give you back your t-shirt - I had washed it as it had dog hair on it. I will pop this into the post for you.
Friday 2nd Nov; Bounty had a walk down into Bekhamsted today and we pottered around the roads and canal. He had a good sniff around and dash around the park before it was time to head home. Bounty has had a snooze on the sofa and then in his bed (when Howard took his spot on the sofa) and lots of playing around with Howard. This evening he has been cuddled up with Justin and I enjoying being stroked on our lap.
Thursday 1st Nov; This morning Bounty accompanied me on a walk around the fields near Thomas Coram school. After much sniffing and scent marking we made our way back via the park where Bounty saw a white Boxer playing with a frisbee which caught his eye! Bounty then decided having exhausted himself he deserved a good snooze so slept most of the afternoon on our sofa.
Wednesday 31st Oct; Today Bounty had a trip to the canal and he trotted along the pathways stopping every few metres to leave his mark. He watched the ducks splashing around and met a couple of dogs on route which he had a sniff at. He and Howard had a play around and they chased each other around the island in the kitchen for awhile - it was very funny to watch. Then, tired out, they both crashed out on their dog beds and snoozed.
Tuesday 30th Oct; Bounty and Howard went to Long Green and had a great time sniffing around the fallen leaves and trying to get himself under various bushes. He scared a couple of birds out of a bush and I think he had more of a fright than the birds! Bounty had fun later in the day playing with Howard's Mickey mouse soft toy, and he even managed to pull Mickey's pants down, which Howard was impressed with. He spent the evening snuggled up on the sofa on my lap.
Monday 29th Oct; Bounty has relaxed most of today, stretched out sleeping on the floor in the kitchen, and sometimes in the office and other times in his dog bed. He and Howard and I played around and at one point both dogs were trying to sit on my lap, which ended up with Howard half on Bounty and half on me - Bounty didn't seem to mind. I was running around this afternoon so I took Bounty out for a walk with Howard later than usual. I took them for a sniff around the canals today for a change of scenary. Back home Bounty enjoyed his tea and then more snoozing! What a life!
Sunday 28th Oct; Again the weather wasn't great, so Bounty had a run up to the park by the school and sniffed around under the bushes and around the leaves. My husband decided to make a roast dinner (lamb) and Bounty and Howard were keen to have a piece of the action, so today Bounty ate some prime Lamb cuts, which I think he really liked as he kept looking for more after his bowl was cleared away. Bounty spent most of the afternoon and evening by our feet, stretched out and having his tummy rubbed. Now and again he and Howard heared a firework and Bounty would get up and look around, but as we didn't react he soon settled again.
Saturday 27th Oct; Bounty and Howard pottered around the garden after breakfast and then had a lay down. The weather was rotten outside, everytime they went outside the boys got soaked, so we decided not to walk them but have a play around instead in the dry. Bounty loves having his belly rubbed and spent a large proportion of his day being tickled and generally being pampered. We went to Pets at Home and brought the boys some special Dog Chicken Soup, so for tea Bounty had this on his burns - he loved it wolved down all his dinner and kept licking the bowl!
Friday 26th Oct; After Bounty's breakfast had gone down I took him and Howard for a very long walk through the woodlands of Long Green and then over to the farmers fields. On route they met a Bearded Collie cross and seemed to want to play around. Bounty was investigative out on his walk getting under bushes as usual having a good sniff around. He then had a very long snooze in his bed and then spent this afternoon racing around the garden, constantly sniffing and sussing out various bushes and plants, before enjoying his tea and then stretching out on the heated kitchen floor.
Thursday 25th Oct; Bounty had a lovely walk with Howard up to the park and really got under the bushes sniffing around - Bounty got himself covered in undergrowth debris! They also met Poppy a Springer Spaniel. Bounty and Howard were keen to say hello but Poppy was a little nervous! Back home the boys had breakfast then Bounty took himself to bed and slept. He has had a very lazy day and been sleeping most of the time with some play tonight inside (as it is freezing in the garden).
Wednesday 24th Oct; Today Bounty helped me with some cleaning, having a sniff of the mop and hoover. I'd brought in lots of leaves from our walk and he was very good along with Howard in helping me pick them up! Bounty enjoyed lots of fussing from the builder that popped in later today and then settled down by my feet this evening as I caught up on paperwork.
Tuesday 23rd Oct; Bounty had a day of racing around the garden sniffing, some cat chasing and barking, and a trip up to Sandpit Green for a walk through the leaves. His little tail wagged away as he soaked up the various scents from the verges and bushes. Later he picked out a toy from the toy box and had a play with this, before deciding he prefered Howard's little dog toy and took this off him, much to Howard's suprise! Bounty was then tucked up in bed and had a good sleep.
Monday 22nd Oct; After a good nights sleep Bounty was raring to go and today he went for a walk down the road to Sandpit Green. After his walk he had breakfast and then rested at my husband's feet for most of the morning while he worked from home. Later he raced around the garden sniffing around the hedges and bushes soaking up all the scents. He is very interested in the cats and doesn't know what to make of them. Every time they have their dinner Bounty loves to sit and watch them! This evening Bounty had his dinner and then settled down to bed enjoying the warmth of the radiator next to him as the cold night drew in.
Sunday 21st Oct; Today Bounty went for a walk with Howard to Long Green woodland and he spotted every few yards to pop his mark on various bushes and shrubs! After his walk Bounty was tired and spread himself across the heated kitchen floor looking very content. This evening he sat next to my feet, spread out and snoozed away enjoying the roaring fire we made as it was a cold night.
Saturday 20th Oct; It was a fine day today and Bounty spent a lot of time out in the garden having a good sniff around the hedges and looking for cats! When he wasn't out playing, we were fooling around in the kitchen and Bounty has been getting lots of strokes and cuddles. He had a walk around the park and he liked watching the various squirrels and birds pottering around. This evening some friends came over to visit and Bounty was a big hit and lapped up all the attention.
Friday 19th Oct; This morning Bounty was full of energy and the two dogs raced and sniffed around the garden together. After a walk to Long Green, Bounty enjoyed his breakfast, then settled down for the morning in bed. Later he spotted one of my cats and chased it around the garden but Jupiter had the advance being on top of the fence! After more sleeping and investigations of the garden Bounty had dinner and then rested by my feet as I did my paperwork.
Thursday 18th Oct; Bounty and Howard got re-aquinted and they played around in the kitchen and lounge. I was really pleased how well they took to one another and when it was bed time I tucked Bounty up in his bed and popped a blanket over him. Howard was snuggled up on his bed next to Bounty and both went to bed.
